Candidate Questionnaire

Cambridge City Councilors have been crucial to encouraging the DCR to create a more climate resilient open space, with equitable access for people outside of cars. This is a unique moment for the City Council, as three strong supporters of Memorial Drive are stepping down.

So it is especially critical that you make your voice heard on Election Day this Tuesday, November 7th. Among the 24 candidates for City Council, 11 have expressed support and commitment to our mission by answering questions about key issues related to Memorial Drive in our Candidate Questionnaire.

Candidate Questionnaire

We reached out two times to the remaining candidates, and did not receive responses: John Hanratty, Peter Hsu, Joe McGuirk, Gregg J. Moree, Carrie Pasquarello, Joan Pickett, Frantz Pierre, Sumbul Siddiqui, E. Denise Simmons, Paul Toner, Vernon Walker, Ayesha M. Wilson, and Robert Winters.

Incumbent Voting Record

While there has been a super majority of support for Memorial Drive issues, three supportive councilors are retiring, so we are sharing the record of incumbents on two important votes:

It's an exciting time with the elections around the corner, and it's more important than ever that we stay informed and cast our vote for the candidates who truly resonate with our vision for Memorial Drive.

Remember, every vote counts, and together we can make a difference. We encourage you to share this information with friends, family, and neighbors who also care about the future of Memorial Drive.
